Secondary Prevention

Secondary Prevention measures are reactive approaches to sexual violence. These prevention strategies are concentrated on intervening immediately after an assault has occurred. Examples of secondary prevention include crisis counseling/support services, medical treatment, separating the survivor and the perpetrator, and safety planning.
