You have options. After experiencing sexual misconduct or interpersonal violence, connect with any of the services mentioned below to receive crisis counseling, support, and safety services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Title IX:<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

After your immediate needs have been met, consider <\/span>reporting to the Title IX Coordinator<\/span><\/a> to learn more about all the various options, resources, and next steps available to you.\u00a0 The Title IX Coordinator (titleix@stolaf.edu) is available via email or in-person to discuss any questions or concerns you may have and can further describe your available options such as reporting to law enforcement, initiating the College\u2019s Grievance Process, and\/or getting connected to supportive measures, accommodations, and resources. Contacting the Title IX Coordinator does not automatically initiate the Grievance Process and the accused party will not be notified unless you decide that\u2019s what you want.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SARN:<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

SARN advocates are trained in sexual violence crisis counseling through the HOPE Center and are a confidential resource. Call the SARN safeline at <\/span>507-786-3777 (operating during the academic year from 8:00 pm-8:00 am) or email <\/span>sarn@stolaf.edu<\/span> to speak with an advocate. You can also stop by SARN office hours at BC 014 (during chapel time M-F). SARN advocates are available to provide information and guidance concerning the Title IX investigation process, navigating resources such as restraining orders, safe housing options, and SANE exams, and are trained to work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Consider joining the <\/span>SARN Peer Support Group<\/span><\/a> for additional support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wellness Center:<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wellness Center peer educators are \u201ctrained in evidence-based mental, social, and emotional health strategies, motivational interviewing, responding to microaggressions, gender and sexuality, suicide prevention, and sexual violence prevention\u201d. One-on-one meetings with a peer educator can be requested <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
