Bachelor of Arts in Social Work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The St. Olaf Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).  The social work program is designed to meet educational requirements for professional licensure\/certification. Education is one of many requirements needed for licensure\/certification. Additional requirements may include (but are not limited to): post-graduation examinations or experience, application and licensing fees, criminal background checks, reference checks, and\/or fingerprint submissions. It is a student\u2019s responsibility to regularly check with the state\/territory where you intend to seek licensure to confirm all licensing\/certification requirements. Licensure\/certification requirements can vary by state\/territory, as each state\/territory sets their own standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensure\/certification requirements are always subject to change at the discretion of the state\/territory<\/strong>. St. Olaf will routinely update our information, but we strongly recommend students consult with the state\/territory board or agency to confirm eligibility for licensure\/certification. For  specific questions regarding licensure\/certification, please contact the state\/territory board or agency directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. Olaf Social Work Program, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, meets<\/strong> state educational requirements for professional licensure or certification at the baccalaureate level in the following states\/districts: AL, AL, AR, AK, DE, Wash DC, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX,UT, VA, WV, WI, WY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. Olaf Social Work Program, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, meets<\/strong> territory  educational requirements for professional licensure or certification at the baccalaureate level in the
following territories: Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following states\/territories do not on license or certify social workers<\/strong> at the baccalaureate level: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, NY, RI, VT, WA, American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The St. Olaf Social Work Program\u00a0\u00a0has not determined<\/strong>\u00a0if the program meets state\/territory educational requirements for professional licensure or certification in the following states\/territories:\u00a0\u00a0Republic of the Marshall Islands,\u00a0Republic of Palau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
