Spanish Residential Learning Community<\/span><\/i>\u00a0is a vibrant learning community where residents immerse themselves in the Spanish language and celebrate the richness of the Hispanic world. Through conversation tables, daily interaction with the language and culturally immersive events, <\/span>La Casa <\/span><\/i>serves as a venue to bring the broader St. Olaf community together to explore, connect, and experience the diverse traditions and stories of Hispanic cultures while engaging with the Spanish language.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/h4>\n

The Spanish Residential Learning Community has as its goals:
<\/b><\/p>\n

– To provide residents with the opportunity to practice and refine their Spanish communication skills and to learn about the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world through close interaction with our Language Assistant.<\/span><\/p>\n

– To provide outreach to the greater college community, promoting the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures through ongoing and regular activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

– To foster a sense of unity and shared purpose among residents by engaging them in the planning and hosting of Spanish-language cultural events that enrich the campus community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the 2025\u201326 academic year, the Spanish Language Assistant is <\/span>Carrie Morocho Guamban<\/a>a, <\/span>and the Faculty Advisor is Professor Strichartz<\/a><\/span>.
