Domestic Health Insurance

2022-2023 Domestic Student Health Insurance

It is St. Olaf policy that all students enrolled at the College have health insurance coverage. This requirement is in place for the protection of our students.

If you are not covered under a comparable health insurance policy, you will be required to participate in the student insurance plan which is offered through LewerMark in collaboration with First Student and United Health Care Student Resources.

All students must complete the online student health insurance form EACH YEAR, whether enrolling or waiving.  The deadline to waive the student health insurance for the fall semester is 11:59 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022.  The deadline for spring semester is 11:59 pm Friday, February 17, 2023.

If the form has not been completed prior to the deadline, the student will be automatically enrolled in the St. Olaf insurance policy and the $2,611 premium will be non-refundable. The waiver needs to be submitted once per academic year. We encourage you to review your current health insurance policy with your parents, if applicable, to ensure that it sufficiently covers you while pursuing your academic interests at St. Olaf.

You have the option to enroll yourself in the plan if you need to receive your health insurance card before the end of the enrollment period.  This will confirm to the insurance company that you are not planning on waiving the insurance.

Waiver Instructions

  2. Click on the Waive button
  3. Enter in the required information and a valid alternative health insurance policy.
