Health Insurance Policy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

St. Olaf requires that all students enrolled at the College have adequate health insurance coverage. This requirement is in place for the protection of our students.<\/p>\n

Domestic Students<\/h3>\n

St. Olaf does not offer a school sponsored domestic insurance plan. Students must have insurance that covers emergency care in Minnesota, but are not required to have coverage based in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

International Students<\/h3>\n

The international student insurance policy is offered through\u00a0LewerMark<\/a>. Please visit LewerMark\u2019s designated\u00a0St. Olaf website<\/a>\u00a0for details. The premium (which includes a grant to offset the cost of the premium) for the 2026-2027 academic year is $1,000 and will be billed in two installments \u2013 one installment in the fall, and one in the spring.<\/p>\n

International students receiving need-based aid will receive a grant to lower the costs to $1,000 for the year (about $500 per semester).<\/p>\n

Understanding Healthcare<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Learning how to navigate health care in the U.S. is not only a daunting task for many St. Olaf students, health literacy is a national concern for many people of all ages.<\/p>\n

In response, the\u00a0Understanding Health Care<\/a>\u00a0page was made by St. Olaf students in order to provide students with the tools and support to help them tools to navigate health care with more confidence. By guiding our research based on student data along with staff and student interviews, this webpage covers a wide array of health care issues that students identify struggling with.<\/p>\n
