In addition, the following are several suggested statements that faculty members may choose to include on their course syllabi. The Task Force encourages everyone to include an AI statement in their syllabus to clarify AI use\/non-use expectations for students and to begin discussions about this emerging technology in class. Our aim is to cultivate an academic environment that encourages active participation in democratic processes and fosters an understanding of civic responsibilities and skills. This course seeks to empower students to become informed citizens who are equipped to contribute thoughtfully and effectively to public discourse and community well-being.
