Administrative hearings are adjudicated through the Dean of Students Office as appropriate or may be called on the authority of the president of the college. They normally deal with cases that:
- Are not delegated to other judicial bodies; or
- Are of such a nature that the defendant requests an administrative hearing; or
- Have been refused for consideration by the appropriate board; or
- Are situated with respect to other factors such as summer vacations so that the normal channels of judicial proceedings are impractical.
It is preferable that most hearings go through other available campus judicial channels. Seldom is it necessary to hold an Administrative Hearing, and the college does not use Administrative Hearings except in unusual situations.
In the event that it is necessary to deal with a case through an Administrative Hearing, descriptions of procedures and hearing guidelines are available in the Dean of Students Office.
