{"id":29,"date":"2014-08-15T11:30:16","date_gmt":"2014-08-15T16:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/sexual-misconduct-resources\/?page_id=29"},"modified":"2025-04-28T09:08:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T14:08:56","slug":"campus-resources","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/title-ix\/campus-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection><h2>Confidential vs. Non-Confidential Resources<\/h2>\n<p>Two types of campus resources provide ongoing support for anyone affected by sex discrimination, sex-based harassment, or sexual misconduct:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confidential resources are not required to disclose to anyone else the information you share with them, unless that information involves the abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or an imminent threat to someone\u2019s life.<\/li>\n<li>All other college employees, including student employees in their work-related roles, are required to share with the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/title-ix\/title-ix-coordinator\/\">Director of Equal Opportunity<\/a> any information they receive concerning sex discrimination, sex-based harassment, or sexual misconduct, even if you ask them to keep the information confidential. After the college employee shares your disclosure with the Director of Equal Opportunity, the Director will reach out to you via email with an offer to meet and discuss your available resources and options, including your ability to pursue an investigation through the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/title-ix\/policy\/\">College&#8217;s process<\/a>. Whether you follow up with the Director of Equal Opportunity is up to you, and meeting with the Director of Equal Opportunity does not automatically initiate any next steps.<\/li>\n<li>Know that regardless of who you disclose to, your information will be kept extremely private. If you do disclose to a Non-Confidential resource, that individual will only share your information with other college employees who have a &#8220;need to know.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyone who has experienced discrimination, harassment, or misconduct is strongly encouraged to report to the college in order to receive support and assistance, and in order for the college to offer options that would stop the behavior and prevent it from occurring in the future. However, if you are not sure that you want to report to the college, or if you want assistance in doing so, you are encouraged to contact a confidential resource first.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/title-ix\/files\/2020\/04\/42613-St-Olaf-1.pdf\">St. Olaf Title IX Resource Card<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Pick up cards from the Title IX Office in Tomson 181.<\/p>\n<h2>Confidential Resources<\/h2>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/stolafsarn.wixsite.com\/sarn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Olaf Sexual Assault Resource Network (SARN)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Buntrock Commons 14, 507-786-3777 \/ 507-649-3367<br class=\"none\" \/><a href=\"mailto:sarn@stolaf.edu\">sarn@stolaf.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">SARN is a St. Olaf volunteer organization with state-certified student advocates who can provide a wide range of confidential <a href=\"https:\/\/stolafsarn.wixsite.com\/sarn\/services\">services<\/a>, both for crisis intervention and for ongoing support. SARN advocates can help you process your experience, determine what resources and support you need, review your options for reporting, and navigate college policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.stolaf.edu\/sarn\/services\/support-group\/\">Strength in Community: SARN Peer Support Group<\/a>: SARN offers a Peer Support Group for students who have experienced any form of sexual violence. The goal of this group is to provide a safe space for peers to support one another in their healing from sexual violence of any kind. This is <em>not<\/em> a therapeutic or counseling group.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/counseling-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Olaf Counseling Center<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Hall 046<\/span>, 507-786-3062\u00a0<br class=\"none\" \/><a href=\"mailto:counselingcenter@stolaf.edu\">counselingcenter@stolaf.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">A variety of services and programs are offered by the Counseling Center, provided without cost to all currently-enrolled St. Olaf students. Appointments are available during the academic year both in the morning and in the afternoon, but may vary during the summer.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/timelycare\/\">TimelyCare<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Via the TimelyCare app or a web browser<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">All current St. Olaf students have free access to medical care, mental health care, health coaching, and psychiatric care via the TimelyCare app or through a web browser. Office hours are generally 8 am \u2013 5 pm but additional hours are available by appointment.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Olaf Student Health Services<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>New Hall 066, 507-786-3063\u00a0<br class=\"none\" \/><a href=\"mailto:healthservices@stolaf.edu\">healthservices@stolaf.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Health Services is staffed by a certified nurse practitioner and is open year round. A faculty or staff member might be that person for you.
