{"id":27,"date":"2017-11-29T12:07:18","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T18:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/site2017\/?page_id=27"},"modified":"2026-09-28T13:53:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T18:53:11","slug":"setting-contact-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/using-wordpress\/setting-contact-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Setting Contact Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-modular-content-collection>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contact information that appears on a page in your site is the same for each page and is set for your entire site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To set or change the contact information for your site, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the Dashboard of your site (login at <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/wp-admin\/\">wp.stolaf.edu\/wp-admin\/ <\/a>and choose your site from the <strong>My Sites<\/strong> menu at the top).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Near the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu, choose <strong>Settings<\/strong> -> <strong>Site Settings <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Contact<\/strong> tab at the top.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your address or other comments in the <em>Address<\/em> box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter office hours in the <em>Office Hours<\/em> box. When displayed, they will appear under a heading labeled <em>Office Hours<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a phone number and fax number, as needed, in the appropriate boxes. When displayed, they will be preceded by P and F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter an email address in the <em>Email Address<\/em> box. When displayed, it will be preceded by an E.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the upper right-hand corner, click the <strong>Update<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note:<\/em> If there is more than one email address or phone number, or additional information to be printed, use the <em>Address<\/em> box to enter all needed information and label items as needed.
