These standards, outlined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/WCAG21\/\">WCAG 2.1 AA<\/a>, have highlighted the inherent non-accessible nature of PDF documents. This means documents created in the PDF format (or converted to PDF by another format) are difficult to make accessible, and extremely difficult to remediate for accessibility once they are PDFs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For these reasons, St. Olaf requires that documents are presented in other, more accessible formats.
