It may sound hard, but you can do it if you set your mind to it! It is a new year, so why not let this be one of your resolutions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/w-ro6MM7Kyxi5jrEmVjQoZw7lMsEm16ISg5_OCOlsYURnyxUxALZAiWiS_q4sMru8CAKKmSublOBtBnmv-Cnfn004KAXmeWe0IGJ12MyoOo8pH2537ieDYkPLFmRmVoQL_i3MrXemPgbADWGOgDS-Is\" alt=\"Veganuary coffee guide\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;eating regimen&nbsp;means omitting all animal products including meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs and&nbsp;even honey. Instead, vegans load up on vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds and soy like tofu, edamame and tempeh. Experts advise easing into it, rather than going all in at once. If you are feeling deprived you won\u2019t stick with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modifications may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start with \u201cmeatless Mondays\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider a \u201cVegetarian January\u201d that omits meat, but still includes eggs and dairy. Just&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/health\/diet-fitness\/plant-based-food-list-rcna21164\">eating more plant-based foods<\/a>&nbsp;could be a realistic goal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try going vegan three days a week, and eat mostly a plant-based diet. On the other days still include fish, dairy and eggs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This past Lenten season, a coworker and myself decided to try a Daniel Fast, which is basically going vegan and then some.
