Summer students will isolate in their current room throughout their isolation period. (Roommates will not be moved to an alternative location.)
Those testing positive will submit a form to contact tracing and be called by a case manager to receive further isolation instructions and confirm an isolation location. Isolation locations consist of limited residence hall rooms with ensuite bathrooms if isolating in your current room is not an option. A public safety officer will assist students by transporting them and their belongings to an isolation location outside their residence hall.
Getting Outside
You are permitted to go for a daily, one hour walk at a time when campus is not terribly busy. (Use your discretion on the timing and be smart about avoiding changes between classes or other busy times.) This will help support your physical and mental health throughout your isolation period. Daily walks are permitted as long as you go directly from your room to outside without stopping in a common area or other dorm rooms. You must avoid interaction with others, inside and outside, and be masked at all times. Enjoy your time outside in the natural lands, neighboring areas, and/or outskirts of campus.
