Wellness Center Peer Educators are here to listen to you, support you, and help you seek resources should you want them. One-on-one support is an opportunity for students to have a safe and private conversation with another St. Olaf student about a variety of topics related to their own well-being. These topics include but are not limited to: coping skills, conflict, boundaries, self-care planning, substance use, sexual relationships, and stress management.
That being said, Peer Educators receive over 50 hours of training including evidence-based mental, social, and emotional health strategies, motivational interviewing, gender and sexuality, suicide prevention, sexual violence prevention, and undergo weekly ongoing training.
