That being said, Peer Educators are trained in evidence-based mental, social, and emotional health strategies, motivational interviewing, responding to microaggressions, gender and sexuality, suicide prevention, and sexual violence prevention. One-on-one support is an opportunity for students to have a safe and private conversation about a variety of areas related to their own wellness. These topics include but are not limited to: coping skills, roommate conflict, boundaries, and time management.
