Princeton Review names St. Olaf a ‘Best Value’ college

The Best Value Colleges: 2013 EditionThe Princeton Review has named St. Olaf College to its list of 150 “Best Value Colleges.”

The list includes 75 public and 75 private colleges, all of which are profiled in The Best Value Colleges: 2013 Edition.

In its profile of St. Olaf, the book’s editors praise the school for its strong programs in science, math, and music. St. Olaf “offers exceptional students with a civic mindset a rigorous college experience in a positive community atmosphere,” the book notes.

The guide also praises the college’s Piper Center for Vocation and Career, noting that it “offers a staggering number of vocational services to students across their four years.”

The Princeton Review chose the 150 schools on its list after conducting institutional and student surveys at 650 colleges and universities. Its assessment of the schools examined more than 30 data points covering academics, cost, and financial aid.

USA Today highlighted the Princeton Review’s list and includes a database of schools on its website. Twin Cities Business magazine also notes that St. Olaf is one of just four Minnesota schools to make the list.
