Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering for St. Olaf is a great way to connect with other Oles and give back to the Hill! There is a place for you in the family of Ole volunteers. Please contact us today to tell us how we can match your gifts and talents with your passion to have a lasting impact on the St. Olaf community.

Reunion Program Committees

Each year over 400 volunteers help plan and promote every facet of their class’s milestone celebrations. Tasks range from personally inviting classmates from across the globe to attend the festivities and shaping class gatherings, to planning memorials and deciding how to decorate resident halls. For more information or to serve on your reunion program committee, email alum-office@stolaf.edu.

Class Fund Agents and Reunion Gift Committees

Since 1995, alumni volunteers have been asking classmates for gifts that immediately support the outstanding St. Olaf student experience. Working with the annual giving staff, volunteers call, write, or email classmates to make the case for supporting students, faculty, and staff through gifts to the St. Olaf Fund. For more information or to volunteer, email fund@stolaf.edu or call 800-733-6523

Chapter Volunteers

Working with the Alumni and Parent Relations staff, chapter volunteers plan events and activities in their hometown. Events include speakers from the college, concerts (frequently by St. Olaf music ensembles), family events, service projects, happy hours, book clubs and other ideas. Chapter volunteers work throughout the country in many major metropolitan areas. For more information or to volunteer to help out in your area, email alum-office@stolaf.edu.

Chapter Volunteer Resources

Alumni Admissions Volunteers

As the St. Olaf Admissions Office continues to focus on national target areas (California, Colorado, Illinois, Texas, Oregon, Washington state, and Washington, D.C.) they ask for your help in reaching out to prospective students and families during the admissions process. As an Alumni Admissions volunteer, activities might include attending college fairs, contacting high schools in your area, hosting a reception, or simply having a phone or email conversation with prospective students. To volunteer, email admissions@stolaf.edu.

Music Organizations Volunteers

To volunteer for the Music Organizations or to help promote concerts in your area, email musicorgs@stolaf.edu.
