Business and Management Studies Concentration

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

1. an understanding of the major functional disciplines: management, marketing, finance, and accounting.
2. competency in business writing and presentation skills.
3. an understanding of ethical practices in organizations.
4. the ability to use different methodologies for recognizing, analyzing, and solving problems in an organizational context (critical thinking).
5. the ability to work effectively in teams to accomplish organizational goals.
6. the ability to articulate the connection between their Management Studies Concentration and overall St. Olaf education to their vocational goals.
