Areas of Emphasis in Management and Finance for Economics Majors
Areas of emphasis provide the opportunity for economics majors to pursue a more structured program of study beyond the normal major requirements. Contracts for each area of emphasis should be individually negotiated with the appropriate director before the end of a student’s junior year.
The Management Studies areas of emphasis in finance and management each require five courses beyond the economics major including a Level III Management Studies course. Grades of C or better must be earned in each of the five courses, and these five courses cannot be taken S/U.
More information about the areas of emphasis for economics majors can be found in the College Catalog. Contracts for the areas of emphasis can be found under “Student Resources” on the Economics Department pages.
