St. Olaf celebrates academic excellence with virtual Honors Day

Boe Chapel

St. Olaf College will hold its annual Honors Day Convocation on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 10:10 a.m. CDT. Honors Day is a celebration of student academic accomplishments, a time to express gratitude for faculty members, and an opportunity to say “thank you” to alumni and friends of the college who provide scholarships.

The event will be virtual this year, and all are invited to join us live on Wednesday or later via our streaming services.

Honors Day congratulates students named to the dean’s list and academic honor societies, as well as those who have received special honors including Fulbright fellowships, Udall scholarships, National Science Foundation Graduate Research fellowships, Knight-Hennessy scholarships, Critical Language scholarships, Rossing Physics scholarships, and Boren scholarships.

This year, our guest speaker is Professor of History and O.C. and Patricia Boldt Distinguished Teaching Chair in the Humanities Judy Kutulas. The title of her address is, “Oles Versus the Pandemic: A Heroic if Distanced Tale.”
