Thank You, Oles

This fall nearly 2,500 St. Olaf College students arrived on campus to live and learn together in community.

With the support of hundreds of dedicated faculty and staff members, they pulled together and worked together so that we could stay together.

In a message to the campus community as the fall semester came to a close, President David R. Anderson ’74 noted that the commitment of students, faculty, and staff made our successful in-person semester possible.

“Starting the semester early and reworking our academic calendar so we could finish before Thanksgiving was a bold move, but we did it,” he wrote. “And while we had a good plan, it really relied on all of you to make it work. Despite the fact that so many aspects of campus life looked different and felt different, you went above and beyond to make the best of it. Your commitment to this community was impressive and inspiring. Thank you.”

As we look toward the spring semester, we know that we’ll need Oles to bring this level of diligence and commitment to safety to campus once again. And we know we can count on it because this is a community that cares together.
