St. Olaf Choir releases new holiday album

The St. Olaf Choir will release a new Christmas album, In Winter’s Night, on October 16, featuring a collection of 20 arrangements from 15 years of the celebrated St. Olaf Christmas Festival.
Produced by St. Olaf Records, the album unites some of the choir’s most memorable Christmas Festival performances, showcasing the ensemble’s signature sound and musical tradition. The collection features selections handpicked by St. Olaf Choir Conductor and Christmas Festival Director Anton Armstrong ‘78, the longest-tenured conductor in the choir’s 115-year history.
Named for the tender selection “In Winter’s Night” by Professor Emeritus of Music Charles Forsberg, the album also holds spirituals arranged by André J. Thomas, classic carol arrangements by Professor Emeritus of Music and former conductor of the St. Olaf Choir Kenneth Jennings ‘50 and Professor Emerita of Music Carolyn Jennings, and sparkling contemporary works by Kim André Arnesen and Stanford Scriven ‘11.
The album is available for digital download on Apple Music, Presto.com, and other major music platforms, as well as through streaming services such as Spotify. Physical CDs will also be available for purchase at Christmas Festival and will be able to order via St. Olaf Records.
