St. Olaf Orientation to Academics and Resources (SOAR) will continue spring semester with new SOAR groups once again attached to their FYS or WRR course. All first year students must enroll in a SOAR discussion. If a student received pre-college credit for Writing & Rhetoric (WRR) they will be manually enrolled in a SOAR discussion for spring semester. All first-year students must complete both FYS & WRR by the end of their first year. 

If a student does not pass their fall FYS/WRR course, they must enroll in both courses in the spring semester. Karina Sierra is working with the Registrar to identify these students and will contact them and their advisors directly.
