Benjamin Peterson ’12 and Jonathon Peterson ’14
Michele Peterson writes: “As the parent of graduates and a current St. Olaf student, I wanted to provide information about our childrens’ recent musical adventure to Mexico. I am so excited that our children are able to play together and build from their St. Olaf orchestral experiences.
Earlier in the year, a dear friend put us in contact with the non-profit Oaxaca music program INDADESH. In December 2014, our family – along with four violins and a cello – traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico. Our children rehearsed and then performed on Dec. 26, 2014 at El Templo de San Agustin with the INDADESH children’s orchestra and orphanage choir.
During our stay, the Peterson Family Quartet also played for the children at the Hospital De La Ninez Oaxaquena, for the residents of the nursing home Los Tamayo, and at the Spanish Language institute, Instituto Cultural Oaxaca.
