Brian writes: “In July 2014 I defended my dissertation, “A Utilitarian Account of Political Obligation”, and received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Iowa. My area of specialization is Ethics & Political Philosophy and secondary areas include History of Early Modern Philosophy, Ancient Philosophy, Philosophy of Law, and Applied Ethics. During the 2014-2015 academic year I am teaching at the University of Iowa as a Visiting Assistant Professor and at Iowa Wesleyan College as an Adjunct Professor while I apply for permanent positions.”
