Halvor Ronning has helped develop a 20-year-old intensive Hebrew University program, specialized for mother tongue Bible translators to “learn the language of the Bible in the land of the Bible” in six months. In these 20 years, some 117 students have come from 35 countries. The graduates of the program are able to more accurately and naturally translate the Hebrew Bible into 72 languages than otherwise possible if they had never been exposed to the tremendous resources now available in Israel.
