After 40+ years of teaching philosophy and religion at Boston University, and authoring or editing over a dozen books, Alan M. Olson retired as of June 30, 2014.  “It has been a wonderful experience,” he says, “and I would love to do it all over again.”  He lives with wife, Janet Pederson Olson ’60, Professor Emerita of the School for the Arts at Boston University, on Cape Cod, Mass., and he continues to research, write, and co-edit the on-line philosophy journal, Existenz. He also assists Jan with grandson Søren’s first years at the Stoney Brook School in Brewster. Pictured is a portrait, created by Jan in 2002.
