Join us for the Hmong Alumni Network (HAN) Symposium at St. Olaf College, a conference dedicated to celebrating our history, strengthening our community, and paving the way for future success. This years theme is Empowerment: Community and Belonging.

This one-day event is designed to be a space for connection, honest dialogue, and growth, tackling topics relevant to the Hmong experience on and off the Hill.

  • Location: Center for Art & Dance (CAD), St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN
  • Admission: $10 per person (includes welcome snacks and catered lunch); current students are free

  • Insightful Keynotes: Reflect on the journey of Hmong students, alumni and staff at St. Olaf—what has changed, how our community has contributed, and the current state of Hmong students on the Hill.
  • Hmong Alum Award: A special ceremony honoring a distinguished Hmong alumnus/a.
  • Empowering Sessions: Choose from engaging workshops on diverse topics like Financial Success, Hmong Arts, Travel Opportunity to Laos, Bridging Tradition and Modernity, Hmong Businesses, and the Rise of Hmong in various professional fields.
  • Robust Connection: Participate in small group breakout discussions on critical issues like career transitions, balancing roles as Hmong women, and defining HAN’s role in supporting life after the Hill.

Whether you are an alumnus, a current student, or a faculty/staff member invested in our community, this symposium offers a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to the future of the Hmong network at St. Olaf and beyond.
