Queering the Archives

October 23 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The St. Olaf community is invited to this panel discussion about the Queering of the St. Olaf Archives. As part of the “Honest Storytelling: St. Olaf at 150” project that seeks to collect untold and under-told stories from St. Olaf during the college’s sesquicentennial year, Dr. Jaden Janak and Dr. Averill Earls, Assistant Professors of History host a panel on Queering the Archives. The panel discussion will highlight how we queer (as a verb) archival practices and preserve queer (noun/adjective) histories.

The event takes place in the Kings Dining Room on Wednesday, October 23 at 6 pm. All are invited!

This event is part of the yearlong celebration of St. Olaf College’s 150th anniversary. During the 2024-25 academic year, St. Olaf will celebrate its sesquicentennial through a wide range of events and reflections from alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
