Flaten Art Museum Hosts Angela Two Stars: On Curatorial Practice

Angela Two Stars is a public artist, curator, and arts administrator. She is an enrolled member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate and was born and raised on the Lake Traverse Reservation. Two Stars is currently serving as the 2023 BIPOC Artist in Residence in the Department of Art and Art History at St. Olaf College.

In this conversation, Two Stars will talk about her role as the director of All My Relations Arts, a program of the Native American Community Development Institute, in Minneapolis. Two Stars’ artwork is rooted in language revitalization, and she uses her own language journey to share a deeper understanding of cultural identity and healing through the Dakota language.
