The inaugural Korean Composers Festival will be held September 23-24, 2023 on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. The St. Olaf community is welcome to attend. The festival will feature presentations and performances of music written by Korean and Korean diaspora composers of the past and present.
The doors will open at 12:30 and the presentations will start at 12:45 p.m. The three presentations will break out as follows:

Iseul Kim’s presentation: “Two Voices”
1:20-1:45pm
Mingyeong Son’s presentation: “Reflexive Globalism in American Composers’ Incorporation of Korean Musical Elements in Contemporary Music”
1:55-2:45pm
John Robison’s presentation: “Kim Eunhye in the New Millennium: Arirang, Animals, and Signs of the Zodiac”
