All are welcome to attend “Archeology, the Bible, and Classical Antiquity in the 19th Centure” hosted by St. Olaf’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the Delta of Minnesota.
Since 1956, the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program has contributed to the intellectual life of the campus by offering our undergraduates the opportunity to spend time with distinguished scholars from across the U.S. Visiting Scholar Susan Marchand (LSU Boyd Professor of European Intellectual History at Louisiana State University) will be joining classes, meeting with students and faculty, and delivering this Public Lecture, which explores the complex relationship between archeological discoveries and textual accounts of ancient civilizations.
