St. Olaf Virtual Book Club

Members of the St. Olaf community are invited to the next meeting of the St. Olaf Virtual Book Club on Saturday, July 19. Join fellow Oles for a thoughtful discussion of Percival Everett’s acclaimed novel, “James.”

This powerful book offers a re-imagining of Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, told from the perspective of Jim, an enslaved man seeking freedom. “James” has garnered significant recognition, winning the 2024 Kirkus Prize, the National Book Award for Fiction, and the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. We anticipate a rich and engaging conversation!
