Young Adult Faith and Climate Summit
The Young Adult Faith and Climate Summit will gather young adults and high school youth interested in the intersection of environmental justice, Lutheran theology, and science. Programming will uplift the young adult experience of these topics: participants will explore their generation’s relationships to climate and the church in a cultural moment where, when addressing the complexities of each, past generations’ models fall short. The summit will focus on building community among young people with shared faith and values, while also empowering them to shape the rest of their lives, emboldened by their place in a Reformation tradition and grounded in their own interrelatedness to all of creation. This is a time for high school youth groups, campus ministries, young adult faith communities, or any motivated young person to faithfully reckon with a uniquely pressing generational concern.
The summit is co-sponsored by local Northfield churches, the St. Olaf College Ministry Office, and the Lutheran Center for Faith, Values, and Community. Events will be hosted on the St. Olaf College campus and at Lutheran churches in Northfield.
