MEET THE COACH
Alicia Wood completed her second season as head coach and was voted the 2025 MIAC Coach of the Year by her peers after leading the Oles to a perfect 11-0 run through the regular season in conference play. The fifth-seeded Oles claimed their first NCAA victory in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship before falling to second-ranked and top-seeded Illinois Wesleyan in the semifinals. The Oles’ 27 victories this season are their most since a 31-5 season in 2010.
Wood came to St. Olaf after spending the previous four seasons as the head women’s volleyball coach at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. In her final season leading the Lady Blues, Wood was named the 2023 Midwest Conference Coach of the Year after guiding her team to a second-place finish in the regular season and a runner-up finish in the MWC Tournament. Prior to her time at Illinois College, Wood was an assistant women’s volleyball coach at DePauw University during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
