Soccer Camp
THE OLE EXPERIENCE
Coach Wall & Coach Maines Co-Ed Youth Soccer Day Camp balances skill development and fun for youth entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. Players will learn and refine their skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, attacking (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4), defending (1v1, 2v2. 3v3, 4v4), transitioning attack to defense, and transitioning defense to attack in this high-energy camp. The camp hours are 9am – 1pm daily and includes lunch in Stav dining hall. Soccer camp takes place on the beautiful St. Olaf College campus in historic Northfield, Minnesota.
Boarding
Meals are prepared by Bon Appetit. Healthy options include the salad bar, grilled meats and veggies, and hot entrees, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, a deli station, soup, and dessert station. There are plenty of food options for vegetarians, gluten-free, and other specific needs. However, if you have a specific food allergy, please email us so we can get your camper connected with the kitchen.
Meet the Coaches
Travis Wall is in his fourth season as the head men’s soccer coach at St. Olaf in 2022-23. In 2021, Wall led St. Olaf to arguably the most successful season in program history, as the Oles matched their deepest-ever run in the NCAA Tournament by advancing to the “Sweet 16.” After leading St. In the historic season, Wall was named the MIAC Coach of the Year.
Wall graduated from Ohio Wesleyan and continued on to earn his Master’s in recreation and sport sciences. Wall played professional soccer for Minnesota United FC (formerly Minnesota Stars FC) of the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 2012 to, after spending preseason with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Becky Maines completed her first season as the head coach of the St. Olaf women’s soccer program in 2022-2023 with over 17 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level, most recently as the assistant coach at the University of Minnesota where she helped guide the Gophers to a Big Ten Tournament title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2018.
During her playing days, Maines was a two-time team captain and two-time Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) All-Tournament Team member at Erskine, where she led the team to its first conference title by scoring the game-winning goal in the championship game. She graduated from Erskine with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, went on to earn a master’s degree in health and physical education from Tennessee Tech, and was inducted into the Erskine Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.

Emailed cancellations received four weeks prior to camp start date will receive a refund less a $100 non-refundable deposit. No refunds given within four weeks of camp start date.
