Classics Major

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will demonstrate:

1. proficiency in ancient Greek or Latin at the advanced level and proficiency in the other classical language at the third-semester level.
2. the ability to comprehend and analyze ancient Greek and Latin texts in at least three genres.
3. broad knowledge about the world of the ancient Greeks and Romans.
4. the ability to produce writing and research relevant to the major.
