Intended Program Objectives:
The St. Olaf College Student Support Services (SSS) program is a college retention program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation: Northstar STEM Alliance, the Hearst Endowment and St. Olaf College. Serving 165 St. Olaf students, SSS provides a wide variety of academic and other support services to help low income, first generation, and/or students with disabilities succeed in college and attain baccalaureate degrees.
- PERSISTENCE RATE: 92% of all participants served by the SSS project will persist from one academic year to the beginning of the next academic year or will have earned a bachelor’s degree at the grantee institution during the academic year.
- GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING RATE: 95% of all enrolled SSS participants being served will meet the performance level required to stay in good academic standing at the grantee institution.
- GRADUATION RATE: 78% of new participants served each year will graduate from the grantee institution with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent within six (6) years.
