For several months, Hilleboe and Kittlesby dorms have been under renovation. This project continues to proceed on schedule and on budget. When completed, the renovated hall will have updated finishes, remodeled restrooms, new interior and exterior windows and doors, and a new HVAC system, and each room will have cool dry air, LED lighting, updated WiFi, controllable hot water heat, and an operable window. Interior construction kicked off in early fall with installing interior framing and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. During the final months of 2024, the construction team began to wrap up rough-in activities as the focus shifted to interior finishes. Sheetrocking continues throughout both wings, to be followed by wall finishes, paint, ceramic tiling, casework, and plumbing and electrical fixture installations. The renovation sits at approximately 95% complete as of April 1, with a substantial completion date of early July in preparation for student move-in for the 2025 fall semester.
