Benefit Election Process

Newly-hired faculty and staff whose FTE is 0.50 and above are eligible to elect benefits within the first 30 days of employment.

To Elect Benefits:

2. Enroll through Oracle
3. I’ve made my elections, now what?

All new faculty and staff are encouraged to make their benefit elections as quickly as possible to ensure coverage goes into effect, double payroll deductions don’t need to be taken, and identification cards arrive in a timely matter.

Benefits Program

Non-exempt employee benefit deductions are withheld over 24 pay periods per benefit year. Exempt employee benefit deductions are withheld over 12 pay periods per benefit year.

2: Enroll through Oracle

1. Enroll Your Dependents and Beneficiaries

In Oracle, add family and others before you enroll. This is a required step, as you need at least one beneficiary for life insurance elections. Click here for directions.

2. Enroll through Oracle

In Oracle, select the plan offerings and coverage you need. Click here for directions.

3. Coupe Financial Agreement Online Form

This online form is required if you enroll in a Coupe health insurance plan. For instructions, click here. This form will be emailed to you, otherwise click here.

4. Prior Service Affidavit Form

This form is only required if you meet the prior service eligibility criteria to enter the Matched 403(b) Retirement Plan. Click here to access the form. Please return to Human Resources when completed.

 Your eligibility to elect benefits is within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Further – HSA: YES (debit card)
  • Further – Full/Limited FSA: YES
  • Further – Dependent Care FSA: NO
  • Legal Shield: NO
  • ID Theft: NO

*Typically, ID cards/debit cards/member information will be delivered within a week of your benefits being effective. If you do not receive your ID cards or debit cards, please reach out to the respective customer service.
