Hybrid Teaching & Learning

Rather than merely redistributing learning, a hybrid pedagogy asks us to reflect on and make connections between learning that happens in classrooms, online, at a desk, aboard a bus, on a mountaintop, by ourselves, and in conversation.Jesse Stommel from An Urgency of Teachers: the Work of Critical Digital Pedagogy

What is hybrid teaching?

At its most basic, hybrid teaching blends modes from face-to-face and online learning environments to design a learning experience that offers flexibility and multiple modes of engagement for students.

Just as course objectives vary widely, what hybrid looks like can be unique for each course, class session, or workshop. With that in mind, this site is a resource for faculty and students to explore models, tools and scholarship on hybrid teaching and learning and how this may be applied to your experience.
