The Problem

The library does not have a way to highlight segments of the collections that reflect the opinions, news, communities, and issues of our diverse cultures.  The “New in the Libraries” section of the library homepage currently focuses on newly received materials, but it is the perfect venue to highlight these other segments of the collection.

Goals

Use the “New in the Libraries” section to highlight materials that reflect diverse cultures, opinions, identities, and perspectives.

Actions Taken

Web Services will create a tool for LITS staff to add items to the carousel on the homepage. The section should be rebranded and contextual information provided on why the item appears on the new “featured” items section.
