In 2019 LITS created a multi-year diversity, equity and inclusion plan to demonstrate our commitment to these efforts. The plan activities spanned all areas of LITS. This plan was shared among the LITS staff, the Council on Equity and Inclusion, and the Academic Division Deans and Directors. In November of that year a team of six LITS staff were asked to serve on the inaugural LITS DEI Team. The team was created to work with the CIO to help manage the DEI projects and initiatives and lead DEI discussions at staff meetings.
