The “Honest Storytelling: St. Olaf at 150” project grows out of St. Olaf’s Land Acknowledgement statement and responds to the call by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (ELCA) statement to American Indian and Alaska Native people. The project commits to tell honest stories about the land and the Dakota people who lived here, and to tell other untold and under-told stories about the people and the place that have not yet had the wider hearing they deserve.

PROJECT PROCESS

The Honest Storytelling: St. Olaf at 150 Project, funded by the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE),  is currently in its second phase of development, and in honor of the college’s sesquicentennial the authors of the project will be sharing their stories through public presentations throughout the year.  A schedule of those events will be coming soon.
