On October 29-30, 2020, Eboo Patel virtually visited St. Olaf. Patel is the founder and president of Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) and the author of Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation, which was the 2020 Common Read for new students and the 2020 All-Community Read for the entire St. Olaf community.
Throughout his visit, Patel met with different sections of the St. Olaf community to discuss interfaith excellence at St. Olaf and the intersections of racial justice and interfaith cooperation. Patel also delivered a chapel talk and keynote address that were open to the entire St. Olaf community.

After an introduction from Patel on the embodied effects of racism and the intersections between faith and race, mixed groups of faculty, staff, students, and administrators discussed their visions for St. Olaf in 2070.
