Areas of Emphasis in Management and Finance for Economics Majors
Areas of emphasis provide the opportunity for economics majors to pursue a more structured program of study beyond the normal major requirements. Contracts for each area of emphasis should be individually negotiated with the appropriate director before the end of a student’s junior year.

Management Emphasis
The Business and Management Studies areas of emphasis in finance and management each require five courses beyond the economics major including a Level III Management Studies course. Grades of C or better must be earned in each of the five courses, and these five courses cannot be taken S/U.
