Collaborating and Innovating with People who Change Lives

As a vice president at Campbell & Company, Adam Wilhelm ’03 is collaborating and innovating with people who change lives through philanthropic vision and action.

“I knew that I wanted to make an impact on the world in one way, shape, or form, and that’s what got me into fundraising,” he says.

Wilhelm majored in English and American Racial and Multicultural Studies, two disciplines that provided him with invaluable skills.

“Where St. Olaf really plays a big role in my day-to-day life is just in how I communicate with people in conversation, in writing, in interpersonal interaction, and a lot of that comes from being an English major,” he says. “But that’s the great thing about a liberal arts education — even if you were a poli sci or a bio major, that doesn’t mean that your career has to be directly tied to those disciplines, because you’ve received such a well-rounded education.”
