An international audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the sounds of the St. Olaf Christmas Festival this December as part of a digital concert series called LIVE from London.

The LIVE from London festival will broadcast 13 Christmas concerts between December 4 and January 6. The concerts will feature a broad spectrum of modern and contemporary pieces, as well as traditional choral Christmas music. The St. Olaf concert will air December 19, and will feature an hour-long recorded program of Christmas Festival music showcasing all five choirs — the St. Olaf Choir, St. Olaf Cantorei, St. Olaf Chapel Choir, Manitou Singers, and Viking Chorus — and the St. Olaf Orchestra. Viewers can purchase an individual ticket to the LIVE from London St. Olaf concert, or a season pass to watch the full range of festival performances.

The St. Olaf music ensembles will be joined by just one other group from the United States: The Crossing, a professional chamber choir. The other LIVE from London Christmas programming, led by vocal ensemble VOCES8, will feature the King’s Singers, I Fagiolini, Gabrieli Consort & Players, Stile Antico, Apollo5, soprano Mary Bevan, countertenor Tim Mead, violinists Jack Liebeck and Rachel Podger, and actors Richard Leaf and Tamsin Greig.

All of the concerts will be available on-demand until January 15. Tickets can be purchased from the Voces8 Foundation website.
