St. Olaf inducts six into Athletics Hall of Fame

AthleticsHallOfFame265x200St. Olaf College inducted six into its Athletics Hall of Fame Saturday night, including longtime women’s cross country and track and field coach Chris Daymont and her daughter, six-time All-American runner Megan Daymont Thomas ’03.

The duo is believed to be the only mother-daughter pair to be inducted on the same day at the same institution.

The other four inductees were Bruce Govig ’80 (basketball), Adam Rice ’91 (hockey), Cole Pinnow ’96 (swimming), and Steve Ryan ’02 (football and baseball).
