St. Olaf names new vice president of human resources
St. Olaf College President David R. Anderson ’74 has announced the appointment of Michael Rodriguez Goodson as vice president for human resources.
Goodson, whose experience includes human resources leadership roles at IBM, Travelers Insurance, and Supervalu, will begin at St. Olaf February 10.
As a member of the President’s Leadership Team, Goodson will incorporate new understandings of how organizations thrive into the way St. Olaf faculty and staff work in support of the college’s mission.
“This appointment signals a new level of commitment to our most valuable asset: the people who work at St. Olaf,” Anderson says. “Mike is coming to our college with a wealth of human resources experience and a commitment to helping us recognize and tap into the talent and potential in all of us and sustain a strong and healthy work environment.”
Goodson earned his baccalaureate degree at Rockhurst University in Kansas City and a master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and previously studied as a seminarian in high school and college.
